Carbery Oil Tanks

Single Skin Oil Tanks

Carbery single skin heating oil tanks are ideal for the storage of Heating Oil at installations where a bunded oil tank is not required. All Carbery oil tanks are manufactured in Ireland and engineered to exceed the most demanding requirements. Every Carbery fuel tank uniquely benefits from 35 years experience in the design and development of rotationally moulded storage products.

Applications

This single skin heating oil tank is suitable for the storage of:

• Heating oil at domestic installations where a bunded tank is not required or within a suitably bunded area;
• Non potable water i.e. water which is unintended for human consumption

Please be aware that Carbery single skin oil tanks are unsuitable for the storage and dispensing of diesel fuel.

Installation Requirements

Prior to the installation of any oil tank, a risk assessment must be undertaken in accordance with OFTEC requirements. All Carbery oil tanks must only be installed by a competent person, in accordance with:

• Building Regulations;
• Manufacturer’s instructions;
• The requirements of OFTEC Technical Book 3.

The entire base area of this tank must be fully supported by a level, fire resistant base capable of supporting the tank and its contents when fully laden. Failure to comply with this requirement may result in premature product failure.

Please note uncontained Single Skin Oil Tanks are unsuitable for installation at agricultural, commercial, industrial and institutional premises. Additionally, they are also unsuitable for new and replacement installation at most domestic premises. At al affected premises, it is recommended that a Bunded Tank should instead be installed.

Bunded Tanks

Typified by ‘tank within a tank’ construction, every Carbery bunded heating oil tank has been engineered for the safe, secure and responsible storage of heating oil. The inner tank is the primary fuel storage container, whilst the outer tank acts as a holding tank in the event of a spill.

Bunded Tanks are proven to significantly reduce the risk of a spill and should be installed at all agricultural, commercial, institutional and industrial premises, as well as most domestic premises too.

Like all Carbery products, the company’s bunded tank range is manufactured in Ireland and benefits from 35 years experience in the design, development and supply of rotationally moulded storage products.
